“Yea, right, Eric. It is hilarious how Mum almost murdered Uncle Christos right now with her ‘Mummy is angry brown eyes’.” And as if she found this to be very hilarious, the chit of a girl fell to the bed to laugh happily.

“Found it funny, right?” I intoned sardonically, pretending to be extremely angry.

And instead of the pity or remorse I was expecting, the little madam seemed to find it even funnier and she went off again in a wild laugh.

To my surprise, I swung my gaze to the usually serious Eric and I was left speechless when I saw his face twitch lightly before he joined his sister in full throated laughter.

Folding my arms tightly across my wide chest, I crossed my legs in a waiting posture and with an I-am-hurt expression on my face, I kept my gaze on them.

“Oh—please—stop—Uncle Christos, my—tummy—my tummy is hurting me and—and I won’t be able to stop if you keep on like that.” Erica gasped loudly and it was an effort to keep a stern expression on my face.
