Chapter 38. The Uncontrollable Desire

Although she feared Gabriel, Eva was forced to sit back in her chair. Gabriel could barely control himself because Eva wanted to leave his company, and he couldn't fully concentrate on his work anymore. When Eva opened one of the documents with trembling hands, Gabriel quickly got up and left without saying anything. Eva stopped, stunned to see Gabriel's back disappearing behind the door.

"Huff, it's a good thing he's gone. Oh, God. Help me; I don't want to die," Eva said breathlessly. He let go of the heavy breath and the burden on his shoulders. Eva needed time to calm down. Even lunchtime didn't make her hungry anymore. Her thumping heart was still beating fast with trembling hands that wouldn't go away at all.

Suddenly, someone opened the door. One of the men who had blocked Gabriel before came in. Bryan Hunter smiled at Eva, who looked up slightly and was stunned to see him. He brought a cup of chamomile tea for Eva.
