Chapter Forty Eight - Missing

Grant's POV

I woke with a groan, my head was killing me. I sat up. Why was I on the floor? What the hell happened?

'Finally.' My wolf growled in my head angrily. 'Mate, they have mate!'

'What?' I said I put a hand to the back of my head to find crusted blood. I looked around the room. Kari wasn't there. I tried to mind link with her, but it was blocked, I couldn't connect with her.

'She gone, Mate, gone.' Zeus whimpered. I stood and opened the door with force. two warriors that stood there jumped in shock.

"Where is Kari?" I asked them. They looked confused.

"She came in with you Alpha." One said. I ran into the room, I opened the bathroom, she wasn't there, she wasn't anywhere. I let out an almighty roar of anger which shook the room. Reuben Mind-linked me.

'Alpha, what's wrong?'

'Reuben, have you seen Kari?'

'No, the King said she was with you.'

'She's not here.' I ran out of the room with the two warriors on my tail. I came downstairs and found the King speaking with a couple of th
