Chapter 26

" Do you want to run away? " He suddenly asked and I froze, staring at him with wide eyes. What did he mean by run away? Is he trying to betray Alpha Victor?

" Why would you talk like that, Gabriel? What if someone hears you? " She scolded, slapping his arms lightly and he burst out laughing.

" You take things too seriously, Maya. At least, I was able to lift up your mood, " he said in between laughs and I sneered at him, causing him to laugh harder. I knew he meant what he said, but I decided to drop it. 

" What do you think I should do if he makes Gamma Serena the Luna? It is a disgrace that can lead to death if I still remain his wife, " I asked him, tears still in my eyes.

" Then, I'll run away with you, far away to where no one can find us, where no one knows who we are. We'll change our identities and start over, " he assured and I bit my lower lip.
