Chapter 30

MAYA

" I don't want you to say anything, Victor, I want you to choose me, " I blurted out, staring straight into his eyes. At that moment, it was like I was someone else and not the Maya I knew.

I instantly got a hold of myself and stood up abruptly, running out of his office without saying anything or soaring him another glance.

I ran straight to my room and shut the door behind me, sitting down on the ground as I rested my back on the door.

Thankfully, Julia wasn't in the room, so I was able to panic as much as I could. I took in deep breaths with my nose and breathed out with my mouth until I was able to catch my breath.

I still didn't believe that I could say the gibberish I spouted out in front of Alpha Victor, I even called him by his name without any formal request from him. 

I stood up from the floor and sat on the edge of the bed,
