In and out of consciousness I hear Lilly trying to mindlink me but as much I try, I can't answer her back. Everytime I open my eyes, I see a different part of the forest. Where am I going? Who is carrying me? I close my eyes again, passing out from the pain. The next time I open my eyes I'm sat across from Lilly. I see red. Seeing his face only makes me think of him kissing me mate and I lose it. I walk towards him as he backs up with his hands up in front of him. "You touched my mate. You touched my mate without her consent." I grab him by the back of the neck and with my silver wrapped hand, punch him repeatedly until gentle hands touch my shoulder. "Shh it's okay baby. When I wake up, I hear a commotion downstairs. I look over and see Lilly still sleeping. I gently get out of bed and grab some shorts and a shirt and hurry downstairs. I see a group of people in the entrance, some of them I recognize but they don't recognize me. Thinking I am the Alpha, they all bow to me. I quickly scan the crowd when I see her. She looks the same just grown up. "Ayliah." A skinny pale woman stares back at me and nods. "Do I know you?" "It's me. It's Mark. Do you remember me?""Mark? My brother's name was Mark. I walk downstairs to the basement to find a severely beaten Alpha. Steven definitely did not hold back. He sits there chained to a chair, barely able to even hold his head up. ~Lilly's P.O.V.~I search the halls trying to find Ayliah. Not finding her inside, I head out to the gardens. I find her sitting next to a rose bush, picking the petals off of a rose. I go and sit next to her and wait until she speaks. "I'm not good enough for him." She finally says after five minutes. "Why would you think that? Everyone, well mostly everyone is good enough for anyone. Unless you've done the cruel things dumbfuck in the basement has done then there is nothing wrong with you." ~Ayliah's P.O.V.~I stood behind the door I just closed and listened. I feel so bad for hurting Steven like that. He seemed like a really nice guy. Lilly had nothing but nice things to say about him but I just can't tie him down like that. I'm nothing. A nobody. That's what's been ingrained into my head for the past 5 years now.
