Lucas accelerated the car way past the speed limit but I was not even paying attention to the speedometer because at this moment nothing mattered to me other than Zoey. Adrian has gone silent in my head because he can’t understand what to do just like me.
Our instinct told us to protect her from everything and hide her from everyone around us but the rational part kept reminding me that she needs medical attention and I can’t just take her away.
