Sergio closes his eyes, feeling himself relax. They stay like this for a minute or two until Sergio opens his eyes, gazing into Serena’s. He looks at her for a moment longer before he slowly leans toward her.

“Are you sure you’re alright?” Sergio asks, concerned.

“Yeah,” Serena nods. “I’m fine. Everything is fine.”

Sergio pulls her into a tight hug, resting his cheek on top of her head.

“Promise me that you’ll come to me whenever you need to talk about any of that stuff,” he whispers in her ear.

“I promise,” Serena mumbles, tightening her hold on Sergio. She can feel her heart racing in her chest, knowing full well Sergio can feel it too.

“I love you,” Sergio whispers.

“Love you too,” Serena whispers, leaning toward Sergio again, kissing him tenderly.

Serena glances nervously at her reflection in the mirror. After a couple of weeks of dating Sergio, everything seems to go well for them and everything seems to calm down.
