“Well, it’s kind of stupid, really.” He admits.

Serena frowns a bit. “No, no it’s not. Tell me.”

“Promise you won’t laugh?” He asks.

“I promise.” She assures him.

He swallows thickly. “Alright. Well, I… I wanted to ask you this morning…” He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes for a brief moment, preparing himself for whatever he’s about to say next. Then he continues.

“But I chickened out, and didn’t actually do it. But now that I think about it, I should have done it anyway. I should have told you sooner. I should have told you ages ago. Or maybe I should have said it yesterday.” He lets out a heavy sigh, looking down again at the ground.

“Sergio? What are you talking about?” Serena prods.

Sergio looks up at her and meets her eyes again. “You remember the day that we met?” He asks her.
