Chapter 27 - Horse Riding

“Are you ready?” The queen asked Marie as both of them stood to face the press in the next room. They were in the hallway while the king and the prince were the first to speak at the center where microphones were set and the media people were gathered.

“I am still nervous. What will I do? What will I say?" Marie's worried face showed as she asked herself silently.

“Here is the tea that I requested. Drink so it will subside when you speak after me. Don’t worry we are here behind your back.” The queen patted her shoulder and even gave her a hug before walking toward the room as the host called her to speak next to the king. The queen knew Marie was tense and gave her the comfort that she knew she could give.

The prince saw Marie sitting on the settee near the window. He sensed that she was uneasy and nervous.

The prince commanded his royal secretary to bring some documents from his office. “Hej, Ms. Sieran, I know you’re a tough woman. Just answer their questions honestly.”
