Chapter Forty Seven: Tender Feelings

“What’s wrong with my Face?” Niko asked, his hands fumbled on his face touching every nook and cranny of it.

“It swelled up already. You have a red patch on your cheek.” She added.

Niko touched the place where his father had slapped him only to discover that he was feeling a slight pain on it.

“It’s nothing.” He said immediately.

“You don’t have to worry about it.” He added before smiling and looking at her small head that peeked out of the door.

“Can you come out and eat dinner? It’s getting cold already.” He said.

Reyna eyed him, her thought going to the first time they had met, he had looked like a strong guy who could protect himself but yet his father had slapped him and there was his print and a red mark on his cheeks.

“But I ordered food already….” She drawled out.
