Regret

The bright light dancing on the window, penetrating through the curtains awakened me, making me aware of the beginning of a new day. I stretched my limbs and opened my eyes. My head was throbbing with pain but why? Then all of a sudden like a flashlight, last night's incident flashed in front of me like a slideshow. All of my senses were awakened by this realization. Was it really Bhai or someone else? Who was my saviour last night? Was he really my saviour or someone who took advantage of the situation or one of them? I turned my head around and synchronized the room. The room looked familiar but how come? I still remember leaving the house.

A snap of fingers broke the chain of my thoughts.

“ I see you are awake.” I was never relieved so much, after hearing the familiar voice. Leena stood there with a tray in her hand. She came near me and touched my forehead.

“ How are you feeling? Here I have brought your favorite breakfast. Aloo kachori and chutney ( a type of dip).
