5. Decisions

Eoin.

I showered and dressed and completed some Alpha business with my Father. I heard from him that Danny was gone to be with Dottie Kayda's mother as she had fainted this morning.

"Is she okay?" I asked.

"Yea, she is pregnant, and Dragon shifters need their mates to survive it. Its in part why they are no longer thriving. Danny calls it nesting, and he will literally now be stuck to Dottie supporting her, so I need you to help me with some Gamma duties with the warriors if you're OK with that?" My father mused as he read a document.

"Sure." I responded.

"I do not know how he is doing this a third time." Adam whistled. "I mean, I love Casey, but pregnant Casey was not fun, so if I was tied to pregnant Casey twenty-four hours a day, one of us would be dead." he groaned.

"My money is on Casey killing you, and she would have a royal pardon for it because it would be well deserved." My Father said without looking up from his work.

"Twenty-four hours a day come on, Emmett, even you couldn't be with a pregnant Charlie twenty-four hours a day. Actually, no, I take that back. You would young loves true dream, knowing you, you would probably enjoy it." Adam huffed.

"I love my mate, and I love her more when she is kind enough to carry my pup. She is never hotter than when she is blooming with my child. What Dottie does is amazing, and Danny is her mate for a reason." my father responded. I stayed silent, mulling over the conversation with a renewed interest.

"Meaning?" Adam snapped as my Dad dropped his paper irked now by his best friend.

"That someone like you couldn't be a dragon shifters mate." my dad said. "Not enough patience. Now run along Adam, you are taking the kids' combat training whilst Danny is with Dottie. " he added, smirking.

"Is it really that hard to be mated to a Dragon shifter?" I asked once the door closed behind a mumbling Adam. My father looked up at me and smiled..

"No, not for Danny. I know he would have it no other way. Dottie needs him more than anything else right now, and to be honest, when your mate is pregnant, it's nice to be needed. Even Adam falls at Caseys feet when she needs him he just talks a stupid macho game. I imagine it's not easy for Danny, but I am sure it's worth it." he sighed as he picked up another file from a high stack on his desk.

"Can I help?" I asked him.

"They are just pack reports and requests for funds." My dad answered, and I noticed he looked a little tired.

"Perfect, give me half, and we will get you back to your mate at a reasonable hour today." I smiled as I took half the stack. "I will pull any unusual or large money requests for you to double check." I added, and he nodded.

"Thanks, Eoin."

"Hey old man, you're sitting in my job. I am just getting to know the ropes." I smirked.

"Less of the old Eoin." he growled as I laughed. We worked in comfortable silence, and soon my stack was complete. My mind had somehow on occasion wandered to Kayda and what she was up to. I had mind linked James and asked him to track down Nick, the warrior, to tell him Kayda was unable to make it tonight. I didn't want to go see Amira with what I needed to say, but Jagger had rationally decided if we did, then we were free to come back to see Kayda. I left my Dad knowing he would keep going with work until my mother came to fetch him.

I drove to Amira's apartment, and her gaurd waved me through. She always had a siren guard with her as the Royal Princess. I knocked as she opened the door slightly, shocked at me standing there.

"I didn't think we had plans." she said, looking down at her yoga pants and oversized sweatshirt.

"We don't, but I need to talk to you about something if you have a minute?" I asked.

"Sure." she smiled as she let me inside. I sat on the sofa, and she sat beside me.

"I know we had hoped we would be mates, and then it turned out we weren't, but we had decided it didn't matter well.." I began and then paused when I saw the small smile on her lips and raised an eyebrow

"It doesn't feel the same anymore, right?" She continued.

"Yes, it really doesn't it just fizzled out. Amira, I am sorry." I sighed as she reached for my hand, giving it a squeeze.

"I feel the exact same way, but I didn't want to let you down because we were friends, and I knew if I had to, I could make it work, and it would be nice, but....."

"Nice isn't good enough." I finished for her.

"Exactly. I want earth-shattering love, " she smirked.

"So let me guess, was there a particular reason you suddenly opened your Alpha eyes and acknowledged your real feelings?" She probed.

"No, it just felt like the right thing to do." I lied as I stood up, and so did she. I held out my arms, and she hugged me tight.

"I had already packed Eoin. I was going to tell you tomorrow that I was heading back home to the Caribbean for a while. I might have a better chance of finding my mate there amongst the Sirens." She said as she stepped back.

"That's a good idea." I agreed as I walked toward the door. "Keep in touch, Amira." I added.

"You too, Eoin." she replied softly. "I'm sure you will meet your mate soon." she added as I gave her a sceptical look.

"My money is on the fiesty Gamma's Daughter." she smirked as she closed her apartment door behind me.

"You're a true friend, Amira." I called through the wood of the door as I left. Amira really did know me well.

I returned home and was standing on my balcony on the top floor looking at a route to Kayda's balcony bellow she was two floors lower as the Beta apartment was between us. I hoped James wasn't home as it was his balcony that was my mid landing point. I waited for the Palace gaurd to walk the perimeter on this side and then lept down, landing quietly on James balcony he wasn't in. I climbed off his balcony and lowered myself onto Kayda's. I peeped into her room and saw Kayda's TV was on, but she was lying on her bed she had her hair hanging over the edge as she brushed it. I smirked, being able to see right down her pyjama top. I knocked lightly on her glass sliding door, and she looked up startled, but seeing me, she smiled. She opened the door and I stepped inside.

"What are you doing here?" She whispered as I looked her up and down.

"Cute pyjamas." I laughed in a low voice. She looked down at her hello kitty pyjamas with matching little pink silk shorts and a blush crossing her beautiful cheeks. I ran my fingers through her freshly brushed soft hair.

"I didn't expect company." she muttered, melting into my touch.

"I think you look amazing in anything." I told her. "However, I bet you look better with nothing on." I added as I pulled her closer, and bending down, I caught her lips in mine before I wrapped my arms around her waist and lifted her. She did as she normally did and wrapped her beautiful legs around me tightly as I walked us to her bed. Laying her down, I moved over her as I drank in her beauty.

"You need to lock my door. Eoin my little sister doesn't knock." she giggled as I walked quickly to her door and turned the lock returning to her. I didn't wait as I climbed back over her and kissed her deeply, my hands roaming under her top she was bra less, so I cupped her large but perky breasts as she gasped under my touch. I found her little nipples and gave them a little tug with my fingers, and she moaned, arching her back towards me. Her fingers pulled my shirt free of my trousers, and without breaking our deep kiss, she undid my buttons. I sat back on my heels to take my shirt off and open my belt. Kayda sat up on her elbows and then pulled her top off, and it joined mine on the floor. I reached into my back pocket and pulled out a small foil square, and she laughed. Soon, we were both naked and with protection now in place. I return to kissing her beautiful body. I licked and sucked on her breasts, toying with her nipples with my teeth carefully, leaving possessive marks in areas her clothing would cover. "Kayda." I mumbled as she kissed my neck. I could not wait anymore. The last two days had been like foreplay for this moment. I lined myself up with her wet core, and I trust inside her. We had sex again before I dressed, not wanting to be caught in her room by the Gamma Danny. I went back onto the balcony and jumped up, dragging myself onto James balcony. I made it to my own balcony and into my room. I threw my shirt into the laundry basket and went to shower. I wouldn't see Kayda for training in the morning she had an early appointment at the clinic so we had called it off besides now I was taking on some of her fathers training sessions with the fianna it wasn't as easy to fit in.

When I went to breakfast as usual, I still met Kayda there, but she was almost waiting for me at the doorway.

"Morning." she greeted me as I replied. All I wanted to do was scoop her up in my arms, but I didn't. We walked in together and gathered our breakfasts.

"Kayda." Nick called, indicating the empty seat by him.

"Morning Nick," she called, waving cheerfully but settling into a seat next to me on the table end. I smirked she was keeping to our deal.

My hand brushed her leg under the table, and she smiled at me. I watched her with interest. Kayda never ate the same breakfast. Each morning, she picked something completely different she was one hundred per cent unpredictable. I, on the other hand, was nothing but predictable with my breakfast choice. Kayda received over and snagged a piece of my pancake and popped it in her mouth with a giggle.

"Yum." she moaned lightly for only me to hear, and my manhood responded instantly.

"Kayda." I growled as she stood.

"See you later, Alpha." She smirked as she left.

"Goddess, I hate that girl sometimes." I mumbled in my mind link to Jagger as he agreed whilst we both watched her arse as she left.
