12. Remy was a good boy

It was Nash who was back at the apartment two days later, telling me that Lance was handling the situation with Jed and that I should have nothing to worry about. It was weird for me, but somehow I trusted the Daniels. Maybe it was because I had nothing to fall back into. I was at a point in my life where I just take it one day at a time.

And I was secretly thankful that I was theirs for the rest of our agreement. I have a roof over my head, a cozy living space, and an allowance for meals and drinks. I just need to figure out what I was going to do once our arrangement ended. At the moment, I was just glad that I don't have to deal with Jed. Knowing Lance was taking care of the issue was giving me another level of relief.

Unexpectedly, Jed hadn't confronted me at the club, and I didn't want to ask him about it either. Every day I hoped that I didn't meet him at the club. Miraculously, he was presumably busy with other stuff.
