13. Remy gets sad

It was too easy for me to take a weekday off from the club. Jed didn't even bat an eyelash as he let me take two days off when I told him that Nash wanted to take me out of town.

"Go, I'm not sure why you need to ask. You know you have the upper hand." He muttered but didn't push the issue.

"Look, Jed, about last time, they made sure that I signed agreement stuff. And..."

"Yeah...yeah, look, clearly they like you so enjoy your time while it last." He gave me a condescending smirk and I couldn't help but feel the weight of his words and he knew it. He knew at the end of the agreement I was going to go back to being his employee, maybe even his boyfriend so he can pimp me out again.

Stop it. I pushed the thought away. I didn't want Jed's words to make me feel bad. Minutes later, I walked out of his office and went back to work behind the bar for another hour until my shift ended.
