I received a call, yes, but not from Mike’s big bro like I told Mike when he asked why I suddenly appeared in his department.

“If you have time and you are interested, I have a business deal to offer you. I will tell you the details in person. All you have to say now is yes, or, no. If you say yes, someone will pick you up within ten minutes, if you say no, you can forget we ever made this conversation. What do you say?”

I was still trying to process every word she was saying, but Nicole seemed to be in great hurry and did not give me enough time to think other than to choose whether i would say yes or no. To top it all off, her tone was not very warm at all. Not that she speaks to me with kindness on a regular basis, but this time her tone was even more icy-cold and bone-chilling.
