Chapter 31“Drink!” He roared as he used an elongated Wolf claw to slice the palm of his hand open. The Shadows came like tendrils out of the darkness, from nothing and everything all at once. They slithered at his feet as if waiting for him to command them. Chapter 32Raziel held his hand up to silence myself and my brothers as we contested his actions, begging him not to do this. “We accept your condition, Master!” The Shadows slithered. And before any of us could say another word, The Shadows engulfed us. I could barely see my brothers as the force of the slithery tendrils engulfing me pushed me down even further. Chapter 33I stayed on my knees as memory after memory flooded into my head. I was Human once, living in a broken home. Memories of my dad, my mom and myself came flooding through. I was an only child, no brothers, no sisters. I saw my mom and dad fighting, often. Broken furniture, broken dishes, the belt that was used on me when I misbehaved, as children often do. The pain, the scars, the nights I cried myself to sleep while my parents fought outside my bedroom door. Memories flooded in of my mother locking us in my bedroom telling me to hide, while my father kicked my door down to get to her, and inevitably me. Chapter 34I held my hand up to silence my brothers as they contested my actions, begging me not to do this. I had already made up my mind. Nothing they could say would stop me now. Chapter 35(Raphael)My eyes fluttered open, and I realized what a splitting headache I had. Where was I? I looked up and saw the black chandelier above me on the ceiling. I was still in Blaze's room. Chapter 36I looked to the door to see all of the Risen had fallen. I was sure they would not revive due to The Shadows’ magic. I checked on my brothers, and they were fine. Ramses, of course, was cracking jokes and Rowen was cracking them back. I was surprised after all of this that Rowen was in such high spirits. He tended to be a little darker than the rest of us normally, except when he surprised us. They headed back to their homes after calling me a slew of crazy names and swearing they would never help me again.
