Scarlett’s POV

My heart races as I stand before the locked door, the weight of uncertainty heavy on my shoulders. The silence that envelops the healer's sanctuary is unsettling, fueling my growing concern for both Freda's safety and the whereabouts of the healer herself. With each passing moment, my worry deepens, urging me to take action.

A flicker of movement catches my eye, drawing my attention to the far end of the room. There, at the extreme corner, lies a figure—a faint silhouette against the dim light filtering through the narrow windows. Without a second thought, I dash toward the mysterious figure, my footsteps quick and determined.

As I reach the wounded figure, my breath catches in my throat. It's the healer, her body covered in blood-soaked garments, wounds marring her once vibrant complexion. The sight sends a chill down my spine, and I kneel beside the injured woman, my hands trembling with a mix of fear and urgency.
