Chapter Forty-Three: Violet
The loud roar from the stands echoed through the stadium, causing the bleachers to subtly vibrate. The Demons versus the Jackals.
A sea of blood-red, flooded one side of the arena while the other was consumed by gold and black.
Camera crews were down on the field as they captured footage of the teams warming up and the fans losing their minds. Scouts were sure to be in the stands from how much this game had been hyped up. Both teams had been introduced and let out onto the field to the sound of an over-produced song. The loud music was blaring out through the speakers stationed around the audience. It drowned out the chatter and yelling between the two universities, making them shout even louder to be heard over today's overplayed hits.

It was nice having Caleb as a friend, but that didn't stop the dirty thoughts that swam around my head as we sat on top of his bed. All of the memories from our last encounter in this very spot had me tense. Every few minutes, I would feel him look over at me in the darkness of the room as the movie played on in front of us, even though neither of us were watching it.I smirked as I caught him staring once more and turned to confront him. "Why put on a movie if you aren't going to watch it?" The dumb rom-com on the screen had a cheesy plot and was beyond predictable, but I adored those types of movies.
