Chapter 11

Standing beside Jackson and Evelyn, Bella was conversing about work. Bella had kept what had happened the previous night a secret from Evelyn, fearing that she would become enraged. However, as they continued talking, Bella couldn't shake the feeling of guilt that was eating away at her. She was just praying that no one would find out she was at Evan's house last night, especially her office colleagues, because it would call her character into question. She knew she had made a mistake by going to Evan's house and spending the night there. Bella tried to focus on the conversation at hand, but her mind kept drifting back to the events of the previous night. She knew she had to come up with a plan to keep her secret safe, no matter what it took.

After discussing for a while, all of the staff bow when they meet their boss, and Bella realizes who has arrived. Although she had resolved today that she needed to remain away from Evan, no matter what happened, she would not go in front of him.
