Chapter 17

Arielle’s POV:

This was a turn I never expected my week to take.

“I’ll come by later to check that arm of yours,” I told the young man who could not be older than 18, and who stared at me

stonily.

I ignored it and simply packed up my

medical kit to move on to the next patient. I was in a house full of Rogues after all. It was

not surprising that I would not be trusted. If a Rogue was suddenly in my pack, I certainly would not trust them either, even if they were helpful to

me.

I was still deep in thought as I began to unwrap the bandages of the next injured Rogue - a dark haired woman.

I had not expected to see Leon. I don’t know why I had not - he was a Rogue, after all, and we were in this mission specifically to rescue and treat our injured members who were attacked by Rogues.

But I really had not expected to see him. This occurrence had now welled up some feelings inside me. The feeling at the forefront for me was confusion.
