Chapter 16

Leon’s POV:

I watched her lovely grey eyes widen in a comical manner as I made my request.

“No,” came the immediate reply, but not from Arielle, but instead, it came from the man who seemed to be the de facto leader of the team from the Redding Pack. The serious look on his face made me want to snap at him, but I held myself back, instead keeping my eyes trained on Arielle. She had now transformed back to her human self, and I was taken aback.

How beautiful she looked. I had not expected her to look this radiant even more than before. Her lovely copper hair made her face glow, and I could not help but feel a thrum of desire at the way her clothes clearly hugged her body. She was fit.

“I did not ask you,” I replied instead, bringing my mind back to focus on the present. My people were still standing at attention, ready to go on the attack if they heard so much as a signal from my end. I pointed at Arielle, who the man took a step forward to cover. “I was talking to her.”

“Well, unfortu
