BLOOMI went to check up on Ray. Even though I knew Grey would oppose it if he knew, I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing, couldn’t pretend not to care about how Ray was feeling. I felt every pain, heard every cry, and I had to remind myself to breathe or I would have choked. This had to be one of the worst things I’d experienced. At that moment, I wish I had known to prepare myself for the pain I was going to experience. I bit down my lower lip to stop myself from crying out as another wave of contraction hit. Grey noticed this, and his eyes widened in worry.
