Damien was in the night.

He hadn’t gone back home since the miscarriage.

He was speeding across the freeway, trying to track down where exactly he had seen Aria that night.

He had gone to the Alpha meeting a wreck, something terrible had happened, a family of night guards wiped out, except one, a skinny boy, whose eyes had seen too much.
