Chapter Twenty-nine

I couldn't sleep. My wolf was restless, and my mind was racing with thoughts. The events of the night weighed heavily on my mind, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Even though I had been assured that Nia and Elsa were okay, I still couldn't find the peace that I so desperately craved.

I sat up in bed, staring at the ceiling as I tried to calm my racing heart. It was quiet in the packhouse, and I could hear the distant howls of the wolves outside. I got up from the bed and walked to the window, looking out at the night. The stars were shining bright, and the moon was full, but the peacefulness of the night was lost on me.
