EVA'S POV

As I trudged up the stairs to my room, my mind was swirling with confusion and frustration. My father's strange behavior in the garden had completely spoiled my mood, and I couldn't shake the feeling that he was indeed hiding something from me, his only child and heir.

Once I got inside my room, I began pacing back and forth, my mind racing with thoughts of what my father could be keeping from me.
