Chapter 73

ADRIAN'S POV

I was a bundle of nerves. My heart was beating rapidly against my chest as I frantically searched for Eva. I had seen her come out of the courtroom, but now she was nowhere to be found.

My mind was running wild with scenarios of what might have happened to her and with the recent attacks that had been going on, I was extremely worried.

Had she been kidnapped? Was she hurt? All these questions flooded my head as I walked around the mansion searching for her.

I searched high and low, but I couldn't find her anywhere. The anxiety that was consuming me was palpable. I wasn't normally like this but I had no idea what had gotten into me lately.

I looked under every nook and cranny, searching for any sign of her. My eyes darted from left to right, taking in every detail of my surroundings, but Eva was nowhere in sight.

Just as I was about to go crazy with worry, I bumped into Xerxes. "Do you know where Eva is?" I blurted out, desperation lacing my voice.

Xerxes shook his head,
