“Take my hand, bud. We’re going in the other room for a little talk.” I’m surprised when he doesn’t fight my request. He places his hand in mine but the resistance that comes from him not moving stops me from moving forward. “Daddy, it hurts. It hurts and I’m scared. (Demetri’s POV)I wake with a groan as the sunlight peaks its way through the drawn curtains of my hotel room. The emptiness of my bed and the near absolute silence of the room reminds me of how much I dislike this part of being the alpha, of being involved in the fight to change packs like Red Fang. Despite knowing for years that they were a rough group to deal with, I have simply let them live. “I’m sorry Jeremy.” My voice has deepened on account of my partial shift scaring him even further. “I promise I won’t hurt you. My voice and eyes may have changed but my teeth and hands remain the same.” I smile at him briefly showing my lack of fangs before showing him my hands, which get larger in a partial shift versus smaller during a full shift. I reach my arms out to him, inviting him to come closer. “I allowed him to come forward in the hopes of comforting you.” I try to explain softly. He nods his head but doesn’t move from where he stands. “I’d like to pick you up. Is that okay?” I try again to gain a little of his confidence despite his obvious fear of me. I stand and move slowly the few feet we have between us. I wrap my hands around his chest, under his arms but pause before lifting him, giving him a chance to protest the action. He studies me closely, silently thinking about what he wants. I can tell he’s absolutely torn with the question but giving him a choice where Alpha Redmen gave none is the only thing I can think of to remind him of who he’s working with. Unexpectedly, the young pup takes the final two steps remaining between him and I, collapsing easily into my lap. I hold him as he weeps again before gently coaxing him into what I know needs to be done. The simple process of relieving himself is painfully exhausting yet the end goal is ultimately achieved before we both wash our hands. I pick him up without a word and settle him quickly onto my shoulder allowing him to feel and smell who I am. It’s been several hours since I arrived at White General Hospital and I must say, I’m impressed at how quickly everything got done once Dr. Wilson was able to realize what was going on. Jeremy struggled immensely with the physical. While my plan of including Dr. Wilson increased his ability to cooperate, the exam of his abdomen proved incredibly painful. His fight to get Dr. Wilson to stop her exam was so intense that I resorted to partially laying on top of him. I had Dr. Wilson pause her examination long enough that I could gather the young man in my arms, hugging him gently to my chest as I placed one hand against the back of his neck. I learned early in my doctor days that I can tap into the young pups, no matter their pack member status, and help them deal with the pain they’re in by taking some of it on myself. I hold my hand up as I can tell Jon wants to say something. “After that I will go through a short timeline on what my plan is for the immediate future. The hardest part of our conversation is what I was able to find out about what Jeremy went through. He opened up to me after Dr. Wilson did the physical and I took pictures of his injuries. I will also be letting you know about the results of the tests we took and the steps I will be taking in helping him recover from his ordeal.” I receive a nod from Jon as he consoles his mate, encouraging her gently to sit with him. Splitting up this loving family is the last thing I want to do but it looks like that may be the only option we have. “Immediately, while you were caring for your other kids and taking a nap, I have gotten the doctors to complete everything that I ordered on Saturday and I am waiting to hear back from Alpha Andrew on his status here at the hospital. No matter what his status ends up being, he will not be moved to Red

(Jeremy’s story, Demetri’s POV) (CW)“Jeremy’s story starts the same as Caitlyn and Brittany’s, Alpha Charles and Kristoph Redmen had the three kids called down to the principal’s office. Of course they submitted and reported there. What your girls didn’t see was that Kristoph whispered something in Charles’s ear before he asked Jeremy to come with them. Jeremy used the link to plead with Mr. Archer not to let him go but Archer reassured him that he wasn’t in trouble and it wasn’t a big deal. He didn’t have a choice but to leave with the two alpha Redmens. The ride to the pack house was uneventful outside of him getting yelled at for crying. I believe he was told several times that he hadn’t been given anything to fear so he should stop before they do. “When I first got here he was startled and ran from his room. He was quite frightened by me resulting in him kicking and screaming when I picked him up. While in my hold, I was able to calm him but when I took him to the bathroom and locked the door he was no longer able to hold back his fear. He shoved me away when I tried to tie his gown out of the way. He screamed and ran to the wall. The way he held himself in a hug and wanted to disappear into the wall was enough for me to want a sexual assault exam on him but when he screamed at me that Alpha Redmen took his clothes and locked him in the bedroom with Kristoph, well, I’ve encountered Kristoph in the prospect program and an exam was well warranted.” I pause, giving them a chance to question me again. I continue when they remain silent. “Dr. Wilson did the physical and sexual assault exam. Both were very difficult on him despite her being very gentle and patient. She followed my directions and explained everything she was doing
