"I can't believe he apologized to you!!" Alex looked stunned.
"I can't believe he offered me a one million dollars dinner!!" My eyes were roaming inside the fairy carriage. Everything looked magical. I did feel like a princess.
"It should've been me who offered you this." I glanced toward the overly-cute sulking Alex, who was glaring at the menu. Chef Ingrid prepared different menus to match the winner's dietary preferences.
"I don't really care who got it for us as long as you are the one sitting here with me, my prince." I smiled shyly, trying hard not to blush. He grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips. He softly kissed it before resting his forehead on it.

Maya's POV"Hello," I called for the third time before checking again on maps. I was at the right place but the warehouse was empty. It even looked like it wasn't used in ages. I took a deep, full-of-dust breath and tried calling back the number."Well hello there!" I turned around, startled by the sudden yet familiar voice. I was pretty sure no one was around. The moment we locked eyes, my blood froze in my veins. How could I forget those dull green eyes? He had the same creepy presence I remember from our one and last encounter. I took a step back, trying to calm my hammering heart as a million thoughts ran through my head. What was he doing here? How did he get here? Is it an ill-fated coincidence or is it planned? The room was in complete chaos but the buzzing in my ears kept me from hearing the said words. My eyes were on the smashed phone in my hands, Maya's phone. Maya's POVI don't know how to describe my state of mind right now. I can even say that I'm kind of confused by the twirls of various emotions and thoughts running wildly inside my head. Alex's POVI watched Eliane walk confidently inside the ladies' room followed by my sister. Since the day Maya went missing, I discovered a completely different side of my mate. The cute cry baby I came to know the last few weeks was long gone. In her place stood a stronger and more confident girl. She didn't let her emotions take over and sometimes, she was even the one calming the rest of us. It was obvious how devastated she was by the loss of Maya and I could see that she was feeling guilty too. But she kept it under control, turning into a very practical girl, looking for leads and clues.I was not the only one who was impressed by this new side of hers.
