I walked back inside the hall and went straight to Lily who was supervising the donations. I waited for her until she was done talking and thanking one of the guests. She slipped the check inside the sealed box then started tapping on her tablet.
"I need some good news." She looked up with a tired smile. She was as tired as me, maybe more since she had to deal with the guests with a smile all the time. "Please I need one to keep going and mostly to shut Liza up." I sat down to rest my poor legs. High heels are certainly not the best footwear to run around.

Maya's POV"Hello," I called for the third time before checking again on maps. I was at the right place but the warehouse was empty. It even looked like it wasn't used in ages. I took a deep, full-of-dust breath and tried calling back the number."Well hello there!" I turned around, startled by the sudden yet familiar voice. I was pretty sure no one was around. The moment we locked eyes, my blood froze in my veins. How could I forget those dull green eyes? He had the same creepy presence I remember from our one and last encounter. I took a step back, trying to calm my hammering heart as a million thoughts ran through my head. What was he doing here? How did he get here? Is it an ill-fated coincidence or is it planned? Maya's POVI don't know how to describe my state of mind right now. I can even say that I'm kind of confused by the twirls of various emotions and thoughts running wildly inside my head. Alex's POVI watched Eliane walk confidently inside the ladies' room followed by my sister. Since the day Maya went missing, I discovered a completely different side of my mate. The cute cry baby I came to know the last few weeks was long gone. In her place stood a stronger and more confident girl. She didn't let her emotions take over and sometimes, she was even the one calming the rest of us. It was obvious how devastated she was by the loss of Maya and I could see that she was feeling guilty too. Maya POVSLAPI jolted up, feeling a hot sting on my left cheek. I tried to touch it to ease the growing pain but I couldn't move. I tried again before realizing that my hands were tied. I blinked a couple of times before trying one more time to free myself. And this time I realized that my feet were tied too. I was painfully tied with leather straps to the cursed dental chair."Did you enjoy your little nap?" Blondi stood in front of me with an insidious grin. I blinked again still feeling confused.
