Irina:

I smiled when I woke up to find myself alone on the bed.

I knew that Kai had slept by my side, his side was messy, but it was a little late and the man would have been up by now.

I rubbed the sleep from my eyes before getting up, knowing that I was going to need to freshen up for the day. I still had a lot to do, and the number of things that were piling up were countless. And checking my email earlier today didn’t make things any better for me.

I walked toward the bathroom and freshened up, taking a shower as I did. The warm water cascaded my body, and I couldn’t help but sigh in contentment as it relaxed my muscles.

I walked out of the bathroom toward my side of the closet. The maids had most of my clothes arranged. I still had to fix my personal things. I chose to wear a sundress, it’s been a long time since I wore a dress at home. I was often busy, and I knew that I would need to wear pants, and when we were in the hotel, my clothes were mostly limited.
