Leah POV

I turned and turned till the cock crowed and I saw the sun rising. Finally, I pulled the covers away, stood up and went to take my bath.

I came out feeling refreshed. The tiredness from lack of sleep was gone and in its place was anticipation for what would happen today.

Since we were going to the market, I wore a very pretty dress, not wanting to look tacky or make Damian lose face. After choosing what to wear, I left the room. It was still a little bit early and Evelyn was not yet at my door.

I ran down the stairs, in a good mood. The house was still very quiet and peaceful, a quality that happened only once in a while. Just then, I saw Evelyn coming out of her room. I thought she stayed in one of the rooms close to my room, I never knew she stayed downstairs.
