The meeting took longer than expected. Again, we were at a stalemate on how to effectively get those girls out. Alec was getting angrier and angrier as we let more days go by. The shit he pulled with Athea was proof of that. Whenever he thought I wasn’t watching him, he glared at her like she kicked his puppy. I was dying myself not being able to shout out that I had finally found my mate. But I respected the hell out of her and wanted her to feel comfortable with me. She had a shitload of baggage with her father and knew that shit wasn’t right there.
