Chapter Seventy - Quitting

“Well, she claims that her dad might be some kind of supernatural, so I played along with her even though I knew the truth.” Vanelope scratches the back of her head.

“She claims, what do you mean about that? This is a serious claim, why didn’t you tell me anything about this?” Cyrus almost sounded like he was complaining.

“Well, she said she saw her father in a monstrous form before but she wasn’t sure if it was a dream or real.” She informed us.

I wanted to lash out as well but I needed to remain calm because there is something else that I’d like to know about.

“What truth do you know about it?” I raised my eyebrows, so she sighed deeply before sniffing in the air.

“She only smells like a human, if her family has something related to supernatural beings then before me, you would know.” She claimed, so I thought she may have a point.

“What if her dream was the time after she was born and maybe, just maybe, her father was turned into something?” Cyrus wondered
