CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Clyde watched as she stomped away angrily. He didn’t understand what happened and her sudden mood swing. What did she see? Did it have to do with him?

Emma ran all the way to her room immediately after she left the shelter. As she ran, the wind splattered her tears all over her face. She didn’t stop running until she got to her room and slammed the door.

She rested her back against the door, sobbing uncontrollably. She was broken, more than she ever thought she could be. She collapsed on the ground, burying her face in between her knees, and continued to cry silently.

After some minutes, she stopped crying and wiped her tears. She needed to pull herself together. Although she was hurt, she needed to think about more important things.

There was a reason she saw that particular part of her past. There was a reason she was shown her parent’s conversation, although she was not present with them.
