Prologue

"Where is Zach?!" Amara asked hysterically, wearing her long wedding dress in front of the chapel in the middle of the forest. The people are looking at her. Bride must not show themselves yet.

"His phone just kept ringing," one of the assistant told her. The guests are now started swarming around her. Whispering and bustling.

"Why? Why won' he answer the phone?"

She clenched her fist when she remembers that woman calls him last night. Begging him to come.

"No, no, that can't be..." and she start biting her nails, "P-please call him again! Something might've happened to him!" she said out of concern. "My phone, I need my phone!" she ordered them and realize she could track his phone. 

She did it and found that he is in the old villa where he and his ex used to reside. She already had a bad feeling about it, somethin that she can't explain.

"Where are you going?" her step mother asked, "The wedding is almost starting!"

She turned to her and can't stop trembling. How could a wedding start without a groom?

"I'm sorry, but I need to fetch Zack!"

"Amara!" her stepmother shouted at her. "Are you losing your mind? You are the bride! You must not do that!" being an elite lady, it was against the etiquette.

This is a private wedding where she and the close friends are there. Yohan and Lucas, her dearest friends looked at her with such pity in their eyes. 

"Mother, please!" she pleaded. Although they are not blood related, she is a good mother to her. "I need to go..."

Her step mother didn't say anything and nodded. Those are the actions she didn't know would regret for the rest of her life. She was trembling hard when she opened the door and saw two naked people in the bed.

"Oh my gosh!" the woman screamed while Amara doesn't know how to feel at that moment.

'Should I have turned a blind eye on it?'

Tears started falling from her cheeks.

"How could you do this to me, Zachary?!" she asked while trembling and couldn't looked at him. Zachary who just opened his eyes doesn't know what's happening but then...

KRRRRNG

That was four years ago.

Amara put her shades as she walked in the airport. She couldn't believe she had to go back in the country after all those years. She smiled bitterly.

"I'm back, Regattier," 

She's back. Back to the place where it broke her heart.
