He promised in a firm voice. Okay, she wanted to believe him so bad but it was hard to.

“You are still going to let me speak to Rose?”

She asked. She thought after the way she spoke to him; he would not let her speak to Rose again.

“Yes, you just tell her anything that would keep her mind at peace and also tell her you will keep in touch, as long as you eat well and take your medications without causing any trouble, I will keep letting you talk to her,”

He further promised. It was too good to be true, she had her doubts that he would keep to his words but she kept it to herself as he handed her the phone and she took it immediately, she unlocked it and looked at him.

“Can I check the texts just to get context f what you both talked about?”

She asked for his permission and he nodded. She checked her text and only Rose sent her numerous texts, not a single text or missed calls from Elio or her office, neither did she get a call or text from the research center she was supposed to be
