“You should stop by Nina's house, right? True, but isn't it too early?” I asked Mom.

Mom frowned in confusion. “It's almost two o'clock, Katie. Do you want to go there when the sun goes down?”

I glanced at the watch on Terrence's wrist. The day is already 2 o'clock in the afternoon. I glanced back at my phone and told Britney and Nina that I was going to Nina's house in a while. I packed some of my books and mobile phone into a tote bag.

“Didn't you give them a hotdog?” asked Terrence who was preparing to drive me to Nina's house.

“Why should I give them hotdogs?” I asked Terrence back.

“As a gift.”

I shook my head and quickly walked toward the car. Terrence came up to me to start the engine of the ford Taurus. The car was driving at a moderate speed towards the Jungle Power housing estate. Terrence dropped me off in front of Nina's house when the car stopped smoothly.

The gate opened when I wanted to open it. Nina smiled broadly at the sight of me being shocked. I went inside
