Chapter Twenty Three

Alpha James sighed at his mother. She was relentless and wouldn't simply let things go. "The match is set." He was annoyed. He could have been happy with a perfect mate of his own. If he had only given her a chance. She was long gone now, she had a second chance on finding a mate. That was what scared him most. If he gave up, and accepted a match now, what if his true mate was revealed later down the line? What if this was all wrong and he was ruining his own chances of a happy life with a true mate?
