Chapter Sixty-Three

Hospitals were scary. The last time she went inside a hospital had been years ago. It had been during that time when she wasn’t yet aware of how harsh the world truly was—innocence was still there, flowing inside her veins. But even so,, even when it had happened years ago, she could still remember it vividly inside her head as if it happened yesterday.

She could still remember how the heat of the sun tickled her skin during that afternoon. She was outside their house by then, and if she remembered it correctly, she was with Ngel, playing their favorite game to play as she was told to wait for her parents’ arrival. They had matters to attend to, and were gone for days.

That was when a car stopped in front of their house. The car was pitch black, there was nothing by the looks of it that was familiar to her.
