Chapter Sixty-Two

Timothee had known about this idea way back in high school.

They said that if you were confused about which one to choose between two objects, or two people perhaps, one toss of a coin would determine the choice.

It wasn’t about probability or the fact that coin toss was considered as the fairest game there was because it had the fairest odds possible (although the odds weren’t exactly 50:50 since the two sides of the coin had a slight difference in their mass).

It went with the idea that once the coin was already tossed in the air, there would be a side that deep inside, you would wish for to land upright. You would know what to choose by then.

Maybe it wasn’t the same for everyone, but it had surely been the case for Timothee. She believed, just like how the probabilities in a coin toss aren’t exactly equal, no person liked two objects exactly the same. No, there would always be a little bit of difference when it came to feelings
