Chapter Ninety Three

The rest of the work week turned out to be quite hectic for both Roth and Tristan. They would occasionally bump into each other in the corridors of their company or their mansion. Tristan did not get the time to call Eleanor back, neither did he hear from her in any way.

Just like that, Friday arrived. Friday morning they saw each other for the first time that week after the dinner with Craig. Tristan had ordered the chef to get him breakfast that day, and he was sitting on the dining table, munching on his omelet when Roth entered the kitchen, yawning.

“Morning, Tristan.”

Tristan looked up from his plate and greeted him with a smile, “Afternoon, sleepy head.”

Roth simply grinned, pressing a button in the coffee maker, when Tristan asked, “Did Craig confirm anything?” Tristan was inwardly praying that he had not, but that man could obviously not let a chance to third-wheel them go.

“Oh yeah, he will be joining us today.”
