“Unfortunately, the door lock will not be scared of you, Miss Eleanor the great. How does the commissioner idea seem about now?”

She continued to ignore his existence, as she fished for something on her head, retrieving two bobby pins from her bun. Roth watched in confusion, and it wasn’t until she bent the head of one pin using her teeth and inserted it in the door lock that he realized what she was doing, his eyes widening.

“You’re picking the lock?” His voice unconsciously dropped to a furious whisper.

“Yes,” She replied to him this time, not bothering to look up even now, “I don’t take a no from anyone, not even door locks.”

Roth forcefully removed her hands from the lock, sending one of the pins flying, and pinned her against the walls opposite to the office, “Are you crazy? I don’t know about you but I have a name out there in the world.
