Chapter One Hundred-Two

“Hello, Roth Dimitri speaking,” His business voice came out, making him sound like an entirely different person than who had been sitting there with Eleanor for the past hour.

Whatever he heard on the other end of the line made him sit right up, his eyes opening wide, as he squealed, snapping out of his usual etiquette, “Really? Oh, Thank God!” Eleanor waited for him to finish the call, her heart beating fast.

After he hung up, she looked at him questioningly, her ears eager to hear the words come out of his mouth, and he didn’t disappoint. Unable to speak for a minute, he nodded frantically, biting his lower lip to hold back happy tears.

She made no such attempt however and broke into tears, letting out a heavy relieved sigh, “Take me to him.” She pleaded.

“They have just retrieved him, he would not be in the best shape. Why don’t you go back to your class and meet him tomorrow?” Having lost all interest in Eleanor and the conversation, he just seemed eager to drive off now.
