She looked over tot eh man standing there and knew he was not the mastermind behind the lake. “Luke isn’t the killer despite what he said. He isn’t all there mentally, and he was given small tasks around my uncle’s place for his room and board. I barely remember him, though. My dad and uncle had a falling out when I was really young. To be honest, I forgot the man was still in the area.”

Chapter 1In the world that she was supposedly born into, somehow she knew she was different. She could see the world change before her eyes, and it seemed no one else could actually see the changes. Colors were brighter to her, sometimes overwhelming in their brilliance. The colors could easily overwhelm all her senses. They often did. The tiny girl went through her day at school with the idea of something bigger was happening. She went into the English class which was one of her favorites not for the content but that for the teacher. He seemed to be the most open-minded person she had ever met. She loved their conversations because he never talked down to her or said her ideas were dumb. He seemed to accept them for what they were as they appeared entirely normal for her to say. Her nightmares were getting worse the longer she stayed away from the plane to which the angels had brought her too. She awoke in her room gasping for air as she struggled to remember all she had just seen. It was two days from her birthday, and it was getting harder for her to keep her mind straight and focused on anything. She was now living in fear not of the sunset but of her dreams. She wanted to see Mitsuhide but was afraid to go to that plane again because of everything she had seen in her dreams. She touched her necklace and looked to the sky as sleep took over again.Waiting for a sign that he knew. She needed him now. She needed something to keep her mind straight. When she woke up the next morning, she was surprised to see that they were in a small shelter like a grassy hut of some sort. The fire she had woke up to was dying in the middle of the room, and the soft folds of a cushion were against her side. She wondered how he moved her without waking her. She was warm and comfortable just breathing for a moment to relax her senses. She focused on one thing and sent her extra emotions off. She felt a slight movement at the warm lump that was keeping her back warm. They brought whatever they needed from their main site. It was a fun time as they raced up the stairs and threw their things in the main room on the ground floor only to run down and do the same as they repeated the process a few times.
