In the world that she was supposedly born into, somehow she knew she was different. She could see the world change before her eyes, and it seemed no one else could actually see the changes. Colors were brighter to her, sometimes overwhelming in their brilliance. The colors could easily overwhelm all her senses. They often did. Her parents and doctors said she was different, but they had no idea why or how to fix her. Nothing about it bothered her personally except at sunset.

Sunset was different. She could be calm all day except when the colors started to change. She had one of two reactions. If the colors were light such as a vibrant pink or lavender, she would find a peaceful calm surrounding her. If the colors were red or orange very much the colors of a firestorm, she woul
