The tiny girl went through her day at school with the idea of something bigger was happening. She went into the English class which was one of her favorites not for the content but that for the teacher. He seemed to be the most open-minded person she had ever met. She loved their conversations because he never talked down to her or said her ideas were dumb. He seemed to accept them for what they were as they appeared entirely normal for her to say. She waited after class to talk with him knowing he didn’t have a lesson in the next block and neither did she. If there was one person in her life, who would tell her the truth it was him.

“Howie, I have a few questions.” she said as the other students filed out of the class and he raised his eyebrows at her still in her seat. “Do you have some time?”
