“Sterling, what about him?” I ask her hopefully and she shakes her head.
“We just can’t leave him here.” I say and I can feel the strain in my voice. I feel like crying.
“We have to, it’s just for a while. We will tell the police everything as soon as we are safe.” She extends her hand to me and I look at it as if it’s an alien.

“Rose.” She says my name and I look at her eyes. They look alarmed but yet trusting.
I take it and she helps me stand. I then follow her as she begins to walk into the forest area. We are surrounded now by tall trees that I have maybe stood here for a decade or more.
