When the paramedics reach us, a beautiful African American lady holds my hand.
“Would you please come with me?” She asks me with a warm smile and I nod.
I begin to follow her and I look back.
I see the male paramedic attending to Marilyn and Lizzie and I breathe out a sigh of relief.
