Chapter 8

Anna attended to Vivia’s words, taken aback. Anna is a bit surprised by the actions of this girl after what she did.

“Why did you decide to find me? You can do what you think, ignore that phone call and continue eating your noodles! I wonder why you did that!”

After hearing this question, she thought for a while.

After a long silence, Vivia spoke up.

“Hey, Anna.”

“I have helped people who have been bullied before. You’re the second, Anna.”

“I saved another girl in the same middle school. She’s an unattractive and quiet girl.”

“When I first met her, I was not impressed. Only when I saw her getting beaten up by higher grade students, and being bullied, did I want to help her.”

“But when I helped her out of the bullying scene, I was returned to her place.”

“It’s ridiculous, huh?!”

“But it’s the truth.” Vivia showed a tart smile.

Anna listened to Vivia tell. Her heart was a little sad.

What a poor girl, Vivia!

Anna said nothing and remained silent. She wanted to continue hearing the story that made Vivia suffer.

“After this girl isn’t bullied, I was replaced in her position. But there is a touch of sarcasm. The one who instigated me to be bullied was the girl I helped.” Vivia continued. These memories did not make her happy.

“My family wasn’t as rich as we are now. We were only a little better than you, but because my father received a lucrative contract, he became rich. It is like this after a long time.”

“For half a year while I was being bullied, when the news that my father had become a millionaire more viral, I didn’t get bullied anymore.”

Vivia stopped for a moment. She looked at Anna.

“Because no one dares to touch a millionaire’s daughter. That is too dangerous. My father also donated the school classroom supplies and a block or two. How could the teacher of that school reject me like before?”

Looking at the wound on Anna’s arm that had been cleaned, Vivia took some dirty cotton balls and threw them in the trash. She twisted the bottle of mineral water in front of her and drank it all in one breath.

“Why don't you tell the teacher what happened to you? I think they will solve this problem?!”

Anna thought for a while and then asked Vivia. Everyone would choose to take revenge.

“It doesn’t matter. If you get revenge, what will happen? Will they be expelled or fined? Even if it happens, it will stop there!” Vivia replied. Anna couldn’t see the expression on Vivia’s face right now.

“I don’t care about them too much, and I don’t like revenge. The person I hated the most during all the time was the girl I helped.”

“Even now, I don’t understand why she did that.”

Vivia thought of this and suddenly laughed haha, “Yes, the person I hate the most until now is her. I don’t want to help her stay anonymous either. Her name is Elisa.”

Anna muttered, “Elisa, Elisa, what a beautiful name.”

Vivia replied, “Yes, the name is beautiful, but her personality is different from the name. That name needs a more worthy owner!”

Vivia looked at Anna, then Vivia lowered her head again, whispering.

“At that time, I was depressed for a short time. My parents investigated the reason behind it, knew what I was going through, and went to the principal’s office to work with those people. But it was too late at this moment.”

“My mother cried a lot. She always did everything to cheer me up and get out of that depression. Don’t look at my mother crying, but she is a talented businesswoman. I admire her so much! During the time I was sick, my mother cut her job down to less than half to made me happier.”

“Before I got sick, my father was a quiet person, but as soon as he found out that I had depression, he also changed a lot. He talks more, and makes me laugh, even though his jokes are really boring, haha.”

Anna was very surprised, thinking that rich people don’t usually spend too much time and emotions with their children, but when she heard Vivia talk about Vivia’s parents, Anna realized that they were the best parents that she used to know.

“They are wonderful people, Vivia!”

“Yes, my parents are the best people I have met in this life.” Vivia raised her head to the sky. Looking at the night, she lamented, “Even though my illness got better later, I couldn’t get too close to anyone but my parents.”

“You’re the second, Anna!”

“Anna, do you know the moment I saw you sitting on the toilet, your clothes were torn. I regretted it so much. Why didn’t I come to help you sooner?”

Vivia opened the bottle of mineral water and handed it to Anna. “You are not Elisa, and I am not the weak girl I used to be. So why am I afraid of things I don’t know?”

“At that time, I was afraid that you would be like Elisa again. I was afraid that you would betray me like her. But,” Vivia interrupted, “I’ve given it some thought. Even if you betray me, what’s wrong?”

Vivia smiled, her eyes narrowed like a crescent moon. In the dark, Anna suddenly saw this cool girl so lovely.

Perhaps it was a little uncomfortable to sit. Vivia fidgeted with the hem of her shirt and continued to confide.

“I still follow my beliefs, I still follow my thoughts and what my heart tells, so I’m not wrong,” Vivia emphasizes, in her words, Anna see a enthusiastic passion has never seen in other people.
